Manchester sits across the Pennines from us, and the bookings that come back are the sociable ones: a housing group's community day at the cricket ground in Wythenshawe with the stall row, ball-in-the-bucket and the food, and university bookings around the term starts that run on fun food and games. Community and campus work is what Manchester takes best - an attraction you can drop on a field of a few hundred students or at a family fun day for a whole estate.
Rides at that scale haven't been part of the Manchester bookings to date - the Yorkshire side of the Pennines is where the full funfairs have run.
