Six beds, one trailer

Six full-size trampoline beds ride side by side on the one trailer, each in its own bay behind padded posts and netting, so six children can be bouncing at once without any of them landing on each other. A bed frees up as soon as its jumper climbs down, and the next one is straight on.

Steps run up to the decks and there's a rail through the middle of the rig, so the parents of smaller ones can stand and watch from a couple of feet away. It's built for children - the beds, the springing and the clearances are all worked out for them rather than for grown-ups.

The canopy over the top keeps the sun off on a hot afternoon and shrugs off a passing shower, and there's lighting under the roof for events that carry on past dusk. Everything rides on a trailer behind one of our vans, and it sets up on grass or hard standing, or indoors where a hall has the doors and the height to take a trailer.

The Trampoline Set at Your Event

  • Six Jumping at Once

    One bed each, with the next jumper on as soon as a bed comes free - the turnover is what keeps a queue of energetic children moving through the afternoon.

  • Netted and Padded Bays

    Every bay sits inside black netting between padded posts and edging, and the built-in steps are the only way in and out, so it stays orderly without anyone having to police it.

  • Sun and Shower Canopy

    The PVC roof over the top shades a hot afternoon and keeps a light shower off the beds, so a British summer doesn't stop the session.

  • Lit Under the Roof

    Lighting underneath the canopy keeps the set trading into the evening, and we can bring a generator where the site has no power of its own.

  • Trailer-Mounted

    The whole unit rides on a trailer behind one of our vans, so we need vehicle access right up to the pitch - a gate or an opening that takes a van and trailer.

  • Grass or Hard Standing

    It sets up on a playing field, a car park or a showground, and indoors as well where the hall has the doors and the height to take the trailer.

Planning the hire

Tell us the event date, postcode, expected numbers and the surface, and we'll check the details before quoting.

Hire starts at £595 + VAT, and where the venue is a long way from Rotherham there may be a minimum spend on the job. The unit takes 20ft x 20ft of ground and stands 9ft tall, and we ask for roughly 30ft x 25ft of flat, clear space with a bit of headroom to get it positioned and running.

It's one of our own pieces of kit rather than something rented in from a third party, so the operator who sets it up is one of ours as well. It goes out chiefly to school fun days, fetes, community fundays and corporate family days, on its own or as the children's corner of a bigger funfair.

Where it works

This set has done the rounds of school fun days and community fundays across South Yorkshire, and it travels for the bigger bookings - it's been to a Scouts and Guides mega-camp in Nottinghamshire with around 4,000 people on site, a company family day in Doncaster and a winter fair for Rotherham Hospice.

At a mixed event it earns its pitch beside the roundabouts and the bouncy castles. A roundabout turns over a batch of riders every couple of minutes, whereas a bed here is free as soon as the last jumper steps off it, so a crowd of children keeps moving steadily for hours. Parents tend to stay at the rail while that happens, which holds whole families on the field rather than just the children.
