The Chair-O-Planes is the children's swing ride - chains and
seats hanging from a rotating top, lifting out as it turns until
the riders are flying round in a circle and waving at whoever is
holding the coats. It is the traditional fairground version
scaled down for children up to around eight years old, with the
seats, the speeds and the operator all sized for that audience.
Ours is a proper little ride rather than a playground
afterthought. The orange scalloped canopy carries a full ring of
bulbs, the centre is panelled with characters the children
already know, and the whole thing runs from its own trailer base
with safety fencing round it. Under the bulbs at dusk it holds
its own next to far bigger rides.
It takes just 15ft x 15ft of floor space and goes indoors or
out, on grass or hard standing, which is why it turns up
everywhere from birthday parties to school fairs to the family
corner of a full funfair. If the site has no power it brings its
own arrangements with it.
Chains and seats hanging from a rotating top, lifting out as it turns - the fairground swing ride children already know from every fair they have walked round.
Bulb-Lit Canopy
The orange scalloped canopy carries a full ring of bulbs over the character-panelled centre, so it reads as a proper fairground ride rather than a playground one.
Trailer-Mounted
The ride runs from its own trailer base with safety fencing around it, which keeps setup straightforward on any site.
Indoor or Outdoor
It goes indoors on artificial grass or a hard floor, and outdoors on grass or hard standing, needing just 15ft x 15ft with 20ft x 20ft clear.
Sized for Children
It suits children up to around eight years old, depending on size. Tell us the age range when you enquire and we will confirm it fits your audience.
Power Sorted
It can come complete with self-contained generator arrangements, and flood lighting is available where the event runs into the evening.
Space, surface and access
The ride itself takes 15ft x 15ft (4.5m x 4.5m) and stands
10ft (3m) tall, with 20ft x 20ft (6m x 6m) of clear space
and 11ft of clear height needed around it for the fencing,
queue and sweep of the seats.
Indoors it works on artificial grass or a hard floor; outdoors it
goes on grass or hard standing. Being small and trailer-mounted,
the access ask is modest - if a car can get to the spot, the ride
almost certainly can.
Send us the site details with your enquiry and we will confirm
the practical side before quoting, including power if the site
has none.
