Our mobile ferris wheel is a proper mechanical fairground ride,
built from cream tubular steel on a red lattice frame and carried
on its own trailer. Open bench gondolas run around the rim, while
the radial braces and broad scalloped front sign are picked out in
fairground lights.
It works particularly well where an organiser needs one ride to
give the whole site a centre. You can see it above the stalls and
marquees before you reach the event, and the slower pace makes it
a useful counterpoint to the Dodgems and
Waltzer when we build a larger funfair.
The wheel has a raised loading platform with separate ENTRY and
EXIT gates, and our trained operators stay with it throughout
the event. Hire starts at £2,895 plus VAT; the delivered quote
depends on the postcode, access, operating hours and any power or
ground-protection requirements.

Trained Operators
Trained ride operators remain with the wheel throughout the event, from setup through the operating period and into pack-down.
Delivery & Setup
Our crew handles delivery, setup and pack-down. The wheel is trailer-mounted, so the access route needs to work for the tow vehicle and ride trailer.
£5m Public Liability
Five million pounds of public liability insurance is included, with the risk assessment and method statement sent to you or the venue before the event.
Mains or Generator
The wheel needs a 16A 240V supply or a generator rated at 6kW or above. We can include generator hire where the site has no suitable mains supply.
Ground Protection Available
The site needs to be firm and reasonably level. Ground protection matting can be included where the field or access route needs it.
Space, access and power
The assembled ride occupies roughly 75ft x 50ft (22.8m x
15.2m). We ask organisers to allow 100ft x 75ft for the full
working area, which gives room for loading, unloading, barriers,
the queue and the crew to work around the trailer.
Setup usually takes around two to three hours. The tow vehicle and
trailer need a workable route from the site entrance to the ride
position, not merely a gate wide enough for guests. Send us the
event plan, access photographs and surface details and we will
check the route before the booking is confirmed.
The wheel runs from 16A 240V mains or a generator of at least 6kW.
If you need us to bring the generator, include that in the enquiry
so it can be priced and positioned with the rest of the ride.
The ferris wheel can be installed indoors or outdoors on:

The surface name is only part of the check. The ground also needs
suitable levels and bearing conditions, and the route in must cope
with the tow vehicle and trailer. Overhead clearance matters as
well, so trees, lighting cables, festoon runs and nearby structures
need to appear on the site plan.
Rider capacity and age or height restrictions are confirmed for
the installation being supplied. We include those details with the
operating plan rather than using a generic figure from another
wheel.
Cream frame, red lattice and open gondolas
What the ride looks like on site
The wheel is painted in cream and red rather than covered in a
modern printed frontage. Its gondolas are open bench seats with
high curved side panels, so riders can see across the event while
the wheel turns.
Across the front sits a scalloped cream sign reading FERRIS
WHEEL, edged with bulbs and painted with Union Jack and London
details. That frontboard, the entrance and exit gate panels, the
lower trailer panels and the flat outer faces of the gondolas can
take temporary branding, although any overlay has to work around
the permanent paint and lights.
