Summer's Over - Time to Book the Christmas Range

The summer kit is mostly back in the warehouse - the rides are parked up, the marquees are folded, and the field season is done for another year. Which means the attention turns to December, and if you're running a Christmas market, a light switch-on, a school fair or the works Christmas do, the Christmas range is up on the site and taking bookings now.

What's in the range

The walk-in Santa's grottos anchor an event - the inflatable log cabin from £245, or the deluxe cottage with Santa and the reindeer on the frontage. Round them go the Christmas market stalls in their German hut frontage, with the mulled wine and hot chocolate machines keeping the queue warm.

For the photos there's the snow globe selfie pod, where guests stand inside the globe rather than in front of it, and the two face-in-the- hole boards - Santa's Workshop with its three elf holes, and the Santa and Child board with one hole at grown-up height and one at child height. Both need no power and no staffing, which makes them the easy win on a packed market pitch.

The games carry the queue between stops: reindeer racing with its four lanes, Roll A Ball and Bounce A Ball for head-to-head heats, Batak Snowball Smash and Whack A Snowman for the reaction games, and the Nutcracker Trail when the event wants something that runs all day.

December weekends go first

December Saturdays are the constraint. School fairs, light switch-ons, town-centre markets and office parties all land on the same handful of weekends, and the grottos in particular tend to be held well before the month starts. The earlier you know your date, the easier everything after it gets - so send us the date, the postcode, what the kit will stand on and roughly who's coming, and we'll price the day properly rather than guessing.

Booked as a package it prices as one job: one delivery, one crew on site, and one figure for the lot rather than a quote per stall. The Christmas kit pairs with the funfair rides for the bigger events - a helter skelter or the chair-o-planes next to the market row turns a switch-on into a proper fair - and with the side stalls for the full row.

If December's on your calendar, send us the brief or ring 0845 468 0590 and we'll talk through what fits the space.
