The simplest game on the field

Hoopla is the classic throw-a-hoop-over-the-prize fairground game, and one of the cheapest ways there is to give an event a proper traditional fete feel. Prizes and blocks are laid out on the table, you throw a wooden hoop, and if it lands cleanly over a block the prize is yours. The rules take all of three seconds to explain, the queue moves quickly, and the game looks easier than it is - which is exactly why people keep coming back for another go.

There is nothing to plug in and nothing complicated to run. It works indoors, outdoors or on hard standing, suits all ages from school-fair children to summer-party adults, and because you can charge per go it has long been a favourite for fundraisers, PTAs and charity days where every throw raises a bit more for the cause.

The whole thing fits on a 6ft trestle table. It can be dry hired with a briefing for your own team, or one of our staff can run it as part of a wider setup - your call.

Hire starts at £95 plus VAT - one of the most affordable carnival games we run, which makes it an easy add-on to a larger booking or a low-cost fundraiser in its own right.

It is worth saying plainly: hoopla works best as part of a row. On its own it is a table and some rings; set up beside the Coconut Shy, the Hook-a-Duck and the Grand Carnival stalls, it is a fair. A row of stalls on one delivery prices together more cheaply than each hiring alone, and minimum order values can apply to single-item hires.
