The Carnival Sign is an LED backboard cut into the old
fairground shape - a scalloped bow-tie outline, printed artwork
on the front and a border of chunky cabochon bulbs running round
the edge. It's the sign a travelling fair hangs over its side
stalls, and it does the same job at an event: it tells people
what the stall is from across the room, and it pulls them over.
The border lights are programmable across nine colours and ten
patterns, so the same board sits on a steady warm white above a
wedding top table and chases through the colours above a stall
at a Christmas party. Pick one of the seven stocked designs -
Arcade, Prize Every Time, Popcorn, Candy Floss, Hot Dogs,
Side Stalls or the Chuckle Tent - or send us your artwork and
we'll have a board made to match.
A border of the big old-style fairground bulbs, programmable across nine colours and ten patterns, from a steady glow to a full chase.
Set To Suit The Event
Warm white and still for a wedding, a colour chase for an office party or Christmas market. You tell us the mood and the border is set before the sign goes out.
Seven Stocked Designs
Arcade, Prize Every Time, Popcorn, Candy Floss, Hot Dogs, Side Stalls and the Chuckle Tent, each printed on the face in the fairground style.
Rig It Three Ways
On a silver pole stand, on a pipe-and-drape frame or fixed to a wall. It can also sit on top of the Grand Carnival stall.
Made To Your Artwork
If none of the stocked boards says what your event needs, a backboard can be made to your logo, slogan or event name in the same fairground style.
£5m Public Liability
Every booking carries £5m of public liability cover, and the risk assessments and method statements go out to your venue before the day.
What's included
The Carnival LED sign with the backboard of your choice
Your choice of mount: a silver pole stand, a pipe-and-drape
frame or a wall fixing
The border lights set to your colour and pattern before delivery
Set-up and pack-down by our own crew
£5m public liability cover as standard
The signs run off standard mains power, with a lead dropping
from the back of the unit, so there needs to be a supply within
reach of where the sign is standing. Out on a field with no
power nearby, one of our generators covers it.
Tell us the date, the postcode and which backboard you want,
and whether the sign is going above a stall, behind a stage or
onto an exhibition stand. It starts at £125 plus VAT, with
discounts on multi-day and exhibition-run hires, and a
postcode-based minimum spend can apply - the written quote
confirms the delivered price.
The bulbs are bright enough to pull footfall from a fair
distance, which is the point of the thing. It's worth a thought
if the sign is sharing a wall with a speaker line or a screen
that needs the room dark.
Paired with the stall it belongs to
Put the Popcorn board above the popcorn cart and the Candy
Floss board above the candy floss machine, and the food line
reads as one stall from across the field. The sign sits on top
of the Grand Carnival stalls
the same way, or it hangs on the black drapes behind a stage.
It's been rigged on shopping centre concourses, under stretch
tents on festival fields and on indoor stages, and it stands on
any surface you've got.

Common Questions
How much does the Carnival Sign cost to hire?
From £125 plus VAT. A postcode-based minimum spend can apply, and multi-day and exhibition-run hires are discounted. Send the date and postcode and we'll confirm the delivered price in a written quote.
Which designs are in stock?
Seven: Arcade, Prize Every Time, Popcorn, Candy Floss, Hot Dogs, Side Stalls and the Chuckle Tent. If none of them says what your event needs, a backboard can be made to your own artwork in the same fairground style.
How is the sign powered?
Standard mains, with a lead dropping from the back of the unit. If the sign is going somewhere without a supply nearby, one of our generators will run it.
How does the sign mount up?
On a silver pole stand, on a pipe-and-drape frame or fixed to a wall, and it can sit on top of the Grand Carnival stall. Tell us which when you book and the right fittings go out with it.
Can the border lights be changed?
They're programmable across nine colours and ten patterns, and the border is set to your preference before the sign leaves us - a steady warm white for a wedding or a colour chase for a party, whichever suits the room.
Tell us the date, postcode and which backboard you're after,
and where the sign is going, and we'll come back with a
delivered quote. If you want a board made to your own artwork,
